Santee is on the eastern border of San Diego, and it is located just 18miles (29km) from the Pacific Ocean. Santee is a great little community. It is well-run, and almost self-contained, especially if you don’t mind shopping at reasonably priced stores. The layout is very convenient (Costco, Walmart, Michaels) all in a loop. And across the street from the circle is Town Centre with many other stores (Bed Bath & Beyond, Target, Staples). San Diego, in general, is a costly place to live.
